LOCATION-AWARE PLANNING

Put your project in context.

Solar, solar-plus-storage, and standalone BESS. One traceable estimate.

Seven supported states

Unapproved mock premiums. Historical source evidence is separate. Premiums still use the unchanged synthetic demonstration model. NOAA historical reports are available separately below; they are not risk scores or insurance quotes.

Project & site

Every save creates an immutable location and estimate revision.

VERSIONED SITE

Example point — replace with your project coordinates. State changes load an example point. Extent checks use coarse rectangles, not authoritative boundaries or geocoding.

VERIFIED SOURCE DATA

Historical hail observations

NOAA NCEI / NWS Storm Events · 2024 archive · TX, OK, KS, CO, WY, NM and NE. Source provenance is verified; this does not establish what occurred at your site or a calibrated insurance risk score.

Search point: TX · 31, -100 · WGS84. State is self-declared; boundaries are not verified.

This explicit search sends coordinates, radius and dates to Velara’s server. No third-party lookup or analytics capture of your point. Installed coverage: 2024-01-01 to 2024-12-31. Changing dates does not load other years.

Other authoritative sources

Flood zones · UNAVAILABLE / PENDING

Pending: primary source reset the connection; alternate service returned HTTP 404 during source verification on 2026-10-20. No flood-zone observations imported.

Check service monthly and after map revisions; snapshot effective panel/version identifiers before publishing. No automatic update job.

Pending review of the service's current terms and metadata after access is restored.

Wildfire · NATIVE DATA INSTALLED

Native 270-meter WHP2023 classified raster installed from the official archive. The linked web map denied access; the archive is accessible. This is modeled hazard potential based on landscape conditions at the end of 2020, not an observed fire record or insurance loss probability.

Check quarterly and on USFS releases; publish a new pinned raster/version after validation. No scheduler enabled.

USFS archive permits use without additional permissions or fees with source citation. Metadata limitations and attribution retained.

Wind · UNAVAILABLE / PENDING

Pending wind ingestion. Documented source fields: EVENT_ID, EVENT_TYPE, MAGNITUDE (knots), MAGNITUDE_TYPE (EG/ES/MG/MS), BEGIN_LAT/LON, local date and CZ_TIMEZONE. No wind observations installed.

Monthly source check with immutable annual-file revisions; preserve measured/estimated and gust/sustained distinctions.

NOAA NCEI open-data attribution required; not a calibrated design-wind or underwriting model.

Freeze · UNAVAILABLE / PENDING

Pending station-data ingestion. Use GHCN-Daily TMIN (tenths °C), station inventory/coordinates, observation date, measurement/source/quality flags. No station selection, lapse correction or freeze observations installed.

Check daily source updates; publish reviewed monthly station snapshots, including flags, missing days and station-distance rules.

NOAA NCEI open data; verify station-provider metadata and flags. A missing TMIN is not an above-freezing day.
